The Portland Food Co-op announces the opening of nominations for the 2011 Board of Directors election this spring. The final vote will occur at our Annual Member-Owner meeting on April 28 (more information coming soon!)
This is an exciting time for the Portland Food Co-op. The PFC launched its member-owner drive at the beginning of February 2010. As of February 2011, the PFC has signed on over 200 member-owners!
The PFC is a dynamic and growing organization, bringing local, affordable food to member-owners. The PFC Board of Directors oversees the general operations of the co-op, assures the fiscal well being of the organization, sets policy and plans for the future of the co-op. We are always looking for people with skill in accounting, business planning, grant writing and related skills. We are looking for Board Members who would like to contribute their skills, time, and passion to sustain and grow the PFC as we work towards our vision of a vibrant storefront in Portland.
The current PFC board encourages interested candidates to attend the March board meeting (Tuesday, March 1, 7-9 pm at the Meg Perry Center) to ask questions, observe a meeting, and talk with current board members. You can also view current board members by visiting the “Committees Page” on the website. To get in touch with board members, please email info@portlandfoodcoop.org. For more details, please read the PFC Board Policy on the website.
