The Portland Food Co-op looks forward to working with a variety of vendors throughout the state when we open our storefront. At this time, we are currently operating in the form of a buying club that is working to provide member-owners a full variety of products, and order from the following vendors monthly:
- United – A wide selection of natural and organic grocery items.
- Crown of Maine Cooperative – An amazing selection of locally grown foods.
- Frontier Cooperative – Herbs
In time, we expect to establish ongoing ordering relationships with many local vendors, but due to the current volunteer structure of our growing co-op, we are limited to coordinating with a few featured vendors each month through our “Producers Direct” program.
